Employers and carriers can significantly reduce workers’ compensation costs by returning the injured worker to the workforce as soon as they are released to modified or light duty.
ReEmployAbility has developed a Transitional Return to Work Program with a national network of not-for-profit organizations that are able to provide a suitable temporary volunteer assignment for injured workers. The program enables the injured worker with an opportunity to become reacquainted with the work experience following a period of disability. Volunteering gives the employee a unique experience that provides a positive contribution to the community. This boosts self confidence, improves sense of worth, and keeps the employee in touch with the daily routine of being out and meeting people.
