The willingness of America’s veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.
— Jeff Miller
Today we honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day was made into a holiday after the end of World War I. We observe Veterans Day with a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery today at 11:00AM. During the ceremony, a color guard salutes and the President of the United States places a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns, followed by a Parade of Flags. The ceremony shows respect for soldiers who have put their lives on the line, protecting our freedom and safety. Veterans Day is an important day, not only for active and retired military members, but for their friends and family members as well.
Remember to be thankful for those who have served, not just today, but everyday.
