By January 2024, they successfully launched an adult lecture series, covering diverse environmental themes such as native reptiles, birding, and botany. With over 100 participants already benefiting from these monthly lectures, the Foundation has broadened its reach and impact within the community. Furthermore, the appointment of their first Director of Trails and Conservation in November 2023 underscores their commitment to enhancing trail management and conservation efforts around the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, ensuring its preservation for generations to come.
The Transition2Work program, facilitated by ReEmployAbility, offers injured workers a unique opportunity for rehabilitation, socialization, and skill development. Participants not only benefit physically but also experience significant mental health improvements through engagement in meaningful activities within a supportive community environment. Clean the World, established in 2009, operates as a socially responsible enterprise dedicated to enhancing global health through sustainable practices. Their core mission revolves around repurposing unused hotel soap and hygiene products, and diverting substantial waste from landfills while simultaneously addressing hygiene-related issues worldwide. By collaborating with various hospitality entities, Clean the World collects, sanitizes, and recycles these products, subsequently distributing them to disadvantaged communities across the globe.
Through their Soap Saves Lives program, Clean the World has significantly contributed to diminishing preventable diseases, including respiratory infections and diarrheal illnesses, underscoring their commitment to improving public health outcomes.
