At ReEmployAbility, we believe in the power of giving back to our communities. Team members continually embody this spirit of service. Recently, Admin Team Lead Jennifer Martin showcased these values by dedicating a day to volunteering with one of our local nonprofit partners, Feeding Tampa Bay (FTB), an organization committed to fighting hunger across the region.
A Day of Impact
In March, Jennifer and her daughter volunteered at Feeding Tampa Bay. They were drawn to the organization’s expansive reach and steadfast mission to help those in need. To her surprise, she discovered that the organization’s impact extends beyond Hillsborough County to ten surrounding counties, serving thousands of individuals and families.
Their day began with sorting and bagging hundreds of pounds of potatoes for distribution. They then moved on to checking expiration dates and organizing donated pantry items. After a physically demanding morning, they tackled a new challenge—packaging biodegradable laundry soap sheets instead of the small soaps they had expected. Despite the unexpected task, the experience was both rewarding and eye-opening, illustrating the adaptability and resilience that align with ReEmployAbility’s core values.
Reflecting on her time at Feeding Tampa Bay, Jennifer shared, “The warehouse was huge, and they do this work every day, all day, seven days a week! It was incredible to see so many volunteers come together for such a meaningful cause. This was my first time taking advantage of the volunteer days offered, and I cannot wait to use my next one!”

A Community Effort
One of the most inspiring takeaways from the day was seeing the incredible dedication of the countless volunteers. The warehouse operates seven days a week. This ensures that food and supplies reach those who need them most consistently and compassionately.
FTB provides a welcoming environment for all volunteers, including injured workers participating in the Transition2Work program. By offering accommodations that empower individuals to contribute meaningfully while staying within their physical capabilities. The warmth and dedication of the Feeding Tampa Bay team transformed the day from simply giving back to genuinely connecting with a cause that transforms lives.

Jennifer’s experience is a powerful reminder of the impact we can achieve when we unite for a common cause. From sorting food and organizing supplies to offering a helping hand wherever needed, every act of service matters. Her leadership, dedication, and passion for volunteerism perfectly embody ReEmployAbility’s commitment to making a meaningful difference.
If you are inspired by Jennifer’s story and want to get involved, consider looking into volunteer opportunities at Feeding Tampa Bay or a similar organization in your community. Together, we can create lasting change—one volunteer day at a time!
