ReEmployAbility is pleased to announce that it will sponsor as well as present at the Comp Laude Awards & Gala November 4-5, 2021. This year the event will be hosted online to allow more people to attend the event while continuing social distancing due to COVID-19.

The Comp Laude® Awards & Gala is an annual event hosted by WorkCompCentral and designed for all stakeholders in the workers’ compensation industry. The event includes a day and a half of educational sessions, an awards ceremony, and several networking events.

“Although we are disappointed we can’t meet in person with everyone this year, we are thankful we have the technology to stay connected and safe,” said CEO Debra Livingston. “ReEmployAbility looks forward to providing this interactive experience for our clients to share how meaningful return-to-work advocates for employees while saving on workers’ compensation costs.”

ReEmployAbility will host a panel discussion and activity on “Return to Work: Employee Advocacy & Best Practices for Success” and CEO Debra Livingston has been invited to speak to share her story as part of the People’s Choice Awards. Livingston will talk about her journey to resilience – how she overcame personal loss to found ReEmployAbility, and the company’s impact on its employees and the workers’ compensation industry.

Joining Livingston in the panel discussion will be Nekitta Tomberlin, Back2Work Liaison with Summit, Ya’Sheaka Williams, Workers’ Compensation Attorney and Managing Partner at Eraclides Gelman, and Sharon Evans, Manager of Workers’ Compensation at Big Lots. The panel will discuss the challenges of return-to-work and how providing a return-to-work program benefits the employee. Taking a more advocacy-based approach, focusing first on the injured employee, can make the difference between a positive or negative experience for both the worker and the employer. The panel will review best practices for a successful return-to-work program and how advocacy helps an injured worker heal and return-to-work faster.
