A Major Step Forward in Helping Injured Employees Rebuild Purpose Through Transitional Work Opportunities

ReEmployAbility, the nation’s leading provider of transitional work programs for injured workers, is proud to announce a major milestone: the assignment of its 100,000th injured worker referral through its signature Transition2Work® program.

Since its founding in 2003, ReEmployAbility has been committed to helping injured employees across the country recover with dignity by providing meaningful, temporary assignments at nonprofit organizations while they heal. This milestone reflects not only the company’s deep commitment to injured workers, but also its role as a powerful connector between employers, insurers, and community-based organizations.

“This isn’t just about a number, it’s about 100,000 individuals who were given the chance to regain a sense of purpose and connection during one of the most challenging times in their lives,” said Debra Livingston, CEO & Founder of ReEmployability. “Each injured worker represents a story of resilience, care, and the impact of doing the right thing.”

The 100,000th injured worker assignment we secured for the Family Service Association (FSA), a community organization that partners with ReEmployAbility to support healing through purposeful service. FSA’s Christina Contreras, Administrative Assistant, shared, “On behalf of the Family Service Association (FSA) we would like to congratulate ReEmployAbility on reaching their One-hundred Thousandth Participant! We are so excited to be able to take part in this remarkable milestone. We truly value the support that we receive from your organization. From your staff to your participants everyone is very kind and supportive of our mission “Building Community one family at a time through compassion, advocacy and comprehensive model services, fostering self-sufficiency and sustainable impacts.”

ReEmployAbility partners with thousands of nonprofit organizations nationwide to offer modified duty assignments that align with injured workers’ capabilities and medical restrictions. These assignments not only aid in recovery but also foster social connection and community involvement, key components of long-term wellbeing.

As the workers’ compensation industry continues to evolve, ReEmployAbility remains at the forefront of human-centered return-to-work solutions.

“We believe recovery is more than physical—it’s emotional, social, and purposeful,” said Rebecca Dearth, COO of ReEmployAbility. “Reaching this milestone of serving100,000 injured workers demonstrates our commitment and longevity in this industry, providing the very best service for our clients and their employees. We’re focused on operational excellence and looking forward to serving the next 100,000”
