Brandon, FL (September 20, 2022) – ReEmployAbility Chief Executive Officer, Debra Livingston, and a panel of speakers will present “Return to Work: The Original Employee Advocacy” at the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) RIMS Annual Fall Conference.
Showing that you care about employees is crucial to retaining talent. Utilizing advocacy concepts can help make all the difference in the employee’s experience on the job and after an injury. Being invested in the return-to-work process has long been the standard to advocate for injured workers. Considering many individuals who suffer a workplace injury are unfamiliar with the workers’ compensation process, it is not uncommon for them to experience fear and confusion post-injury, making advocacy even more important.
In “Return to Work: The Original Employee Advocacy,” panelists will demonstrate how incorporating an advocacy-based approach to return-to-work rooted in transparency and communication allows employers to address injured employees’ concerns. Leveraging these tools and techniques ultimately contributes to achieving better outcomes for the employee and employer.
This panel will be led by Debra Livingston, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ReEmployAbility. “We serve a broad base of partners in Texas, and I am looking forward to this opportunity to connect with our network on a deeper level. Furthermore, I am pleased to be speaking on the importance of employee advocacy in claims. Together with this panel of speakers, we can spread the message about the impact of communication, empathy, and respect for the injured worker,” said Livingston. She will be joined by Alaa Zuaiter, AVP, Product Line Manager, Berkley Environmental, and Chris Lam, City of Forth Worth Workers’ Compensation Claims Manager.
This 1-hour session will take place on September 28 at 1:15 p.m. CDT. Conference registration is required, and space is limited.
