Are you ready for #WCI2017? We are!

For those who of you unfamiliar with the conference, the WCI Conference is a three-day event taking place August 7 – 9, at The Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

Though we attend every year, this year is extra special because both of our Co-Founders, Frances Ford and Debra Livingston, will participate in panel discussions.

Explore Emerging Trends in Return-to-Work

Frances, who has over 25 years of experience in the workers’ compensation field, will moderate a session entitled, “Emerging Trends in Return-to-Work,” with panelists Nathan Hughes, Director of Risk Management at Safelite Group; Jodie Massingill, Senior Manager of Casualty Claims at Sysco Corporation; and Patricia Rodriguez, Return-to-Work Manager at Crum & Forster.

“I am really excited to be joined by such an amazing group of industry insiders,” Ford said. “The three of them have such rich experience and insight regarding what works and what doesn’t in the return-to-work industry. I look forward to leading this discussion and examining the many needs that employers and adjusters often struggle with. This panel will explore their real life, day to day experiences, and highlight the importance of having an effective return-to-work program set in place.”

This panel discussion will review trends in return-to-work program administration with an emphasis on providing strategies to help employers return injured employees to productive work quickly. Employer and insurance company examples will demonstrate results achieved with incorporating alternative transitional duty in the return-to-work program. The session will take place at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8 in Grand Ballroom 8b.

Overcome Return-to-Work Challenges for PEOs

Deb will demonstrate her over 20 years of workers’ compensation experience in a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) Breakout session. She will be joined by Tammy Martin, Director of Quality Management at Encompass Specialty Surgical Network; and Attorney Deborah Eldridge of Abbey Adams Byelick & Mueller, LLP, who will also serve as moderator.

This panel will explore return-to-work challenges specific to PEOs and discuss various options and approaches for return-to-work programs which may prove helpful to PEO professionals and the claims adjusters who handle their claims. It will take place at 10:15 am on Tuesday, August, 8 in Grand Ballroom 7B.

While you’re at the conference, don’t forget to swing by the Exhibit Hall and visit Booth 309!

This has been a sensational year for our team. During the conference, we will showcase all of the positive feedback we have been receiving nationwide. We will focus on first-hand inspirational stories from program participants about how the Transition2Work program has impacted their lives.

“It is always great to hear what a vital role our program plays in the lives of injured workers,” Livingston said. “Community outreach is the cornerstone of what drives us as a company. We are honored and touched to hear these personal stories and how more and more participants have been willing to tell their stories, sometimes even in the news. We have even had a participant win an award for Volunteer of the Year at a non-profit organization. It is amazing to hear that this program has made such an impact on so many lives.”
