ReEmployAbility’s Transition2Work® Program continued to create meaningful outcomes for communities, injured workers, and employers during the first half of 2026. From January through June, injured workers participating in the Transition2Work program contributed an estimated 1.6 million hours of service through nonprofit organizations nationwide, generating more than $59 million in economic value while supporting recovery, strengthening nonprofits, and creating positive community impact.

Community Impact: Expanding Support for Nonprofits and the Communities They Serve
Nonprofit organizations are often asked to meet growing community needs with limited resources. Through Transition2Work, injured workers provide valuable support that helps nonprofit organizations expand their impact and advance their missions.
During the first six months of 2026, more than 1,800 nonprofit organizations hosted injured workers participating in the program, supporting causes ranging from housing and food security to education, workforce development, health, and family services.
ReEmployAbility also expanded its nonprofit network to more than 53,000 nonprofit partners nationwide. The growing network creates more opportunities to connect injured workers with meaningful assignments while helping more organizations access the support they need to serve their communities.
One example of that impact can be seen through ReEmployAbility’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Tampa Bay Hillsborough. In June, ReEmployAbility was named Volunteer Team of the Year – ReStore after employees and Transition2Work participants contributed more than 1,000 hours of service supporting ReStore operations. Those efforts helped sustain stores that generate funding for affordable housing initiatives, demonstrating how meaningful service can strengthen communities long after an assignment ends.
Injured Worker Impact: Supporting Recovery Through Purpose, Connection, and Care
Recovering from a workplace injury can affect routine, confidence, and overall well-being. During the first half of 2026, ReEmployAbility served 7,595 injured workers, providing opportunities to remain engaged, contribute their skills, and maintain a sense of purpose during recovery.
ReEmployAbility also reduced the time required to connect injured workers with meaningful opportunities while expanding employer worksite and work-from-home assignment options. These enhancements help individuals begin contributing sooner and better align opportunities with recovery needs and abilities.
Recognizing that recovery involves more than physical healing, ReEmployAbility expanded its support services through a partnership with the Kind Souls Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free, confidential emotional wellness support to individuals unable to work due to injury or illness. Through the partnership, ReEmployAbility sponsors Care Packages for individuals who contact the Kind Souls Foundation for support, helping injured workers feel supported, connected, and encouraged throughout their recovery journey.
Employer Impact: Creating Shared Value Through Recovery and Corporate Social Responsibility
By connecting injured workers with nonprofit organizations, employers help employees remain engaged during recovery while supporting causes that strengthen local communities. During the first half of 2026, participating employers realized more than $34 million in indemnity savings while helping generate millions of hours of service for nonprofit organizations nationwide.
