We are proud to announce ReEmployAbility’s sponsorship of Handbags & Happy Hour. This charity event will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC in Tampa and all proceeds will benefit The Spring of Tampa Bay.

Since they opened their doors in 1977, The Spring of Tampa Bay has housed and supported thousands of women and children who are survivors of domestic violence in Hillsborough County. They are one of the largest domestic violence centers in Florida and the first domestic violence agency in the United States to have an accredited on-site school for resident children.

ReEmployAbility has a strong passion for service to the community and has supported Handbags & Happy Hour since its inaugural event in 2018. CEO Debra Livingston says service is one of the cornerstone values of what makes Transition2Work, the company’s proprietary return-to-work program, such a success. The program places participants at non-profit organization while they recover from a work-related injury, providing participants a way to make valuable contribution to the community while giving them an improved sense of value and self-esteem, helping them heal.

“Our passion to give back to communities is always at the forefront of everything we do as a company,” said Debra. “And because we are a women owned company, I applaud The Spring of Tampa Bay for raising awareness in our community and for providing much needed resources to survivors of domestic violence and their families. While Handbags & Happy Hour is a fun, engaging social event, it highlights the serious topic of domestic violence and how as a community we can work toward stopping abuse. We are proud to again sponsor this wonderful event.”

Handbags & Happy Hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC. There will be silent auction of designer purses, jewelry, and other items. For more information on the event, please visit https://thespring.org/event/5th-annual-handbags-happy-hour/.
