Exciting ReEmployAbility Volunteer Opportunity

On Saturday, August 19th, 2023 a group of 15 dedicated ReEmployAbility employees ventured out before the crack of dawn with a shared purpose of volunteering with Give Kids the World.

Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Florida is a renowned nonprofit resort that offers cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families. With a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator, this 89-acre whimsical destination provides a truly magical experience where families can escape medical challenges and create priceless memories together. Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed over 187,000 families from all over the world, thanks to the support of generous donors, community partners, and dedicated volunteers.

Carnival Games Galore

Our team was thrilled to volunteer with Give Kids the World and participate in a variety of engaging carnival games designed to bring joy and laughter to the children and their families. The volunteers were able to run booths, encourage the children, and have a fun time together. By volunteering our time, ReEmployAbility was able to give back and make a difference in the lives of these children.

As volunteers, they actively assisted with different booths, playing our part in creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. The sense of fulfillment and camaraderie among the volunteers was truly uplifting. Some carnival games included hula hooping, archery, and shuffleboard.

The Importance of Giving Back

Todd Loomis, ReEmployAbility National Sales Manager, stated: “I was so grateful to be able to interact with families this year during the carnival games; we learned their inspiring stories and how Give Kids The World fulfills dreams every day. It’s humbling how ReEmployAbility was able to volunteer with such a meaningful organization.”

Michelle Nihoul, ReEmployAbility Controller, expanded on that by saying: “As this is my second-year volunteering with Give Kids The World I appreciate the opportunity to continue to give back to an organization that does such amazing work. It was so heartening to see so many volunteers.”

Overall, it was a rewarding and enjoyable day for all those who generously dedicated their time to Give Kids the World.  Witnessing the positive impact of our efforts reaffirmed the significance of giving back to the community.
