Recognizing the Good in the Worker’s Compensation Industry

ReEmployAbility is excited to announce that two ReEmployAbility employees have been recognized in their category for the BLOOM Awards. BLOOM (formerly InTouch) Excellence Awards, now in its eleventh year, is an annual award gala to celebrate people who make an outstanding impact in the workers’ compensation industry. They are happy to “celebrate and honor the most essential part of the worker’s compensation industry.” The BLOOM Awards are selected by votes from people within the Worker’s Compensation industry.

Making a Difference Award

ReEmployAbility’s Nonprofit Relationship Manager, Lindsey Bressi, won the “Making A Difference Award” this year. The award recognizes the efforts of individuals and teams who have made a significant impact on the lives of injured workers. It celebrates the outstanding people and teams who have gone the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of the workers they support. As Nonprofit Relationship Manager, Bressi visits and works with nonprofit organizations across the country. Creating partnerships where nonprofits can take in Transition2Work volunteers. Often her work includes meeting with injured workers and hearing their stories firsthand. Not only does her work strengthen nonprofit organizations across the country, but also highlights the good of return-to-work programs. We are so grateful for the difference she is making for nonprofits and injured workers nationwide.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by industry peers for the work I get to do every day at ReEmployAbility,” exclaimed Bressi.  “I’m grateful that my job allows me the opportunity to connect with individuals and organizations nationwide who strive to make a difference in their communities. I get to play a role in building and expanding our network of nonprofit partners, and strengthening our existing partnerships by supporting their missions.”

She continued, “Every day I’m given the chance to learn more about the work our nonprofit partners do and how our light-duty participants can contribute to something great. I love getting to brainstorm different ways our company can support meaningful causes; how we can transform these light-duty assignments into life-changing opportunities and long-lasting connections to community. I love that ReEmployAbility is actively connecting people to greater purposes; I love that I get to make that happen.”

Podcast of the Year Award

2023’s Podcast of the Year Award was bestowed to Todd Loomis as host of ReAudio: Reassessing Your Work Comp Toolbox. ReAudio is focused on telling stories of good in the worker’s compensation industry. His podcasts focus on how to elevate the field, by centering empathy and communication. Likewise, Loomis regularly interviews injured workers and their return-to-work journey, giving a voice to the injured worker. His work gives voice to those in the industry that are often left voiceless. The ReAudio podcast makes a necessary impact within the worker’s compensation field.

In response to this award, Loomis stated, “When we came up with the idea of a podcast, our intent was to create a toolbox to help Workers Comp professionals get better at what they did. But as ReAudio grew into a platform for positive stories and human achievement, we found we had the ability to promote the positives of our industry to an outside world that has many misconceptions.” He concluded: “Selfishly I know it’s helped change my outlook too. What a humbling surprise to have won this recognition!”
