Sharpening the Saw

At the beginning of March, the Senior Leadership team at ReEmployAbility, along with Team Leads and ambassadors, had the privilege of participating in a weeklong Franklin Covey Training. Crystal Hundley, ReEmployAbility’s Director of HR and trained Franklin Covey facilitator, led the training.

The Franklin Covey: Seven Habits of Highly Effective Managers training was a great way to prioritize employee professional development and infuse the company with a focus on growth and collaboration. ReEmployAbility is focused on creating a positive work culture where employees feel supported in their work and are given the resources to succeed. This training was an example and underlies ReEmployAbility’s dedication to its employees.

Think Win-Win

After the training, the ReEmployAbility leaders have worked to implement the teaching across departments and teams. Each team huddle across the company now starts with information about Franklin Covey’s training and critical insights on how to use the information for professional and personal growth. By incorporating the Franklin Covey training into weekly meetings, every employee can grow together and get the same information as leaders. This integrated personal development will continue throughout the year.

Synergize

On top of the in-person training, employees throughout the company were given the opportunity to participate in online Franklin Covey platform modules that highlight the training and go even more in-depth with their personal development. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People: Principles module spans 17 weeks and includes articles, videos, exercises, and other training methodologies. After completing the modules, employees can earn CEU credits for their work, finalizing a certification. Additional modules and “micro-courses” include professional development regarding DEI, Management training, productivity, etc. In making this resource available to employees, ReEmployAbility wants to ensure that employees feel supported in their professional goals.

This training has been a great success for the team, accumulating positive feedback across the company. Hundley stated about the program’s impact: “Reflecting on the insights gained and the transformations witnessed, it’s clear that embracing these habits is a powerful catalyst for leadership growth. Each habit is a stepping stone towards becoming a more effective and impactful leader.” Moreover, managers and team leads expressed their support for the training. “I am incredibly blessed to be with a company that is willing to invest in leadership growth and development!” enthused Rachel Kicak, ReEmployAbility’s Learning and Development Manager. Jolissa Chase, Client Services Team Lead, elaborated, stating how grateful she was “to be with a company that is willing to invest in leadership growth and development!”

Begin with the End in Mind

ReEmployAbility’s focus on creating a positive workplace begins and ends with the employees. ReEmployAbility is reasserting its dedication to company culture and employee growth by implementing Franklin Covey training and platform access across the company.
