Employee Appreciation Breakfast

ReEmployAbility recently celebrated its employees with a series of events throughout March. Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday of March, which kicked off the month-long ReEmployAbility celebration with an employee breakfast. On that particular day, ReEmployAbility hosted an employee appreciation event consisting of a delectable breakfast spread, including waffles, bacon, biscuits, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, and pastries. The employees were encouraged to socialize with each other while enjoying breakfast, marking the start of a month-long celebration.

Crystal Hundley’s HR Director planned events throughout March to encourage employee cohesiveness and team camaraderie and show appreciation for their hard work. She elaborated on the importance of celebrating employees by stating, “We are thrilled to celebrate Employee Appreciation Month and honor the hard work of our amazing ReEmployAbility team. Celebrating with events throughout the month really shows our employees how much we value them. We could not do what we do without them.”

Fostering Team Cohesion:

The festivities continued with an after-work “Wine Tasting” event; employees who wished to participate were encouraged to bring a bottle of wine to share with colleagues. The bottles were then wrapped and labeled to create a “blind” wine-tasting challenge. Along with wine tasting, charcuterie boards were shared. It was a fun (and educational) event where employees learned about different wines while also spending quality time socializing with co-workers.

On Friday, March 15th, ReEmployAbility organized a cornhole tournament, where employees formed teams and competed against each other. Fourteen teams, composed of interdepartmental teams, participated in the game. After several rounds of good-natured competition, ReEmployAbility treated employees to an ice cream party to celebrate, showing their appreciation.

Top Workplace Recognition

The following week, ReEmployAbility hosted a Spirit Week, with each day having a different theme. The themes ranged from “Barbie vs. Oppenheimer,” “Soccer Mom vs. Barbecue Dad,” and finally, “ReEmployAbility Spirit,” with employees encouraged to dress in our signature purple and green. During “Tropical/Tacky Tourist” day, employees were surprised to see a Kona Icy Food truck treat in the parking lot! The excitement and events reached a pinnacle on Friday, March 22nd. During the company picture, employees were surprised to learn that ReEmployAbility had been named a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces for 2024, making this the second consecutive honor for ReEmployAbility and the third honor since 2018.

Puppy Day Partnership

Wrapping up Employee Appreciation Month, ReEmployAbility partnered with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay to bring puppies into the office for “Puppy Day!” Employees donated food, blankets, cleaning products, and supplies for the dogs and cats in need at the Humane Society. While Humane Society volunteers gathered supplies, employees were able to interact with adoptable puppies. It was a great way to celebrate together while supporting a local nonprofit in need. Last year, Puppy Day resulted in three different adoptions by ReEmployAbility employees. By combining ReEmployAbility’s focus on community service and volunteerism, the company made a meaningful difference for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

“I am immensely grateful for our incredible team here at ReEmployAbility,” began ReEmployAbility and founder Debra Livingston. “Their dedication and enthusiasm make our workplace truly exceptional. Employee Appreciation Month signifies our commitment to recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of our team. They deserve all of our appreciation.”

ReEmployAbility is committed to fostering a supportive and appreciative work environment for all employees and is proud to celebrate its achievements.
